The Gulf of Sagone is one of the best-kept secrets of the west coast. Just minutes from our properties, a succession of beaches stretches for kilometres - each with its own character, atmosphere and treasures. And beneath the surface, the gulf's seabed hides wonders: blue gorgonians, grouper, underwater cathedrals, coral caves. Enough to satisfy both sun-worshippers and water sports enthusiasts alike.
🏖️ Sagone Beach
A vast arc of golden sand stretching nearly a kilometre through the heart of the village. Shallow, calm waters ideal for families. In peak season: kayak, paddle and stand-up paddle rentals on the beach. Boat excursions to Scandola and Girolata also depart from here.
🌿 La Liscia Beach
Our absolute favourite - less than 10 minutes from our properties. Fine golden sand, turquoise waters sheltered by the bay, preserved setting between maquis and sea. At the mouth of the Liscia river, children can alternate between sea and freshwater swimming. Both local water sports bases are here: Marina Ouest and Nautica Plongee.
🌅 Santana Beach
1km south of Sagone on the D81, Santana beach is supervised from 1 June to 1 October. Calm waters, excellent quality, beachside restaurants including Le Grand Large. The ideal choice for families wanting safety and comfort.
🌊 Orcino Beach
Less well-known than La Liscia, Orcino beach is a pleasant surprise. Fine sand, neighbouring coves, discreet access - an authentic swimming spot appreciated by locals. Calcatoggio's coastline offers over 10km of mostly rocky, wild shore; Orcino is one of its few sandy beaches.
🏞️ Liamone Beach
A wild gem south of Sagone. The maquis reaches down to the shore and the Liamone river mouth creates a unique landscape of dunes and lush vegetation. Warning: unsupervised beach with strong currents - caution with children. Ideal for a walk or picnic facing the sea.
🐟 Peru Beach
A wide bay of fine sand sheltered by the Punta d'Omigna and its accessible Genoese tower. Clear, gentle waters perfect for snorkelling around the rocks. Restaurants and large car park on site, 20 minutes from Sagone.
🪨 Chiuni Beach
One of the most preserved beaches in the gulf, reachable after 10 minutes on foot from the road. White sand, transparent water, no buildings in sight. Rich seabed for snorkelling. No facilities - bring a picnic. An atmosphere of the ends of the earth that is well worth the effort.

Explore the wild coastline, discover coves inaccessible on foot, enter sea caves. Hourly or daily rental from age 6.

The go-to spot for thrillseekers on the gulf. Kayak, catamaran, pedalo, sailing introduction, licence-free jet ski, towable rides, parasailing. Motorboat fleet with licence for those wanting to explore independently.
